LER3D is a PC-based simulator which models a two-stroke engine with a fixed pitch propeller. It provides state-of-the-art navigation around the engine room in 3 dimensions, including the ability to zoom into specific areas and adjust swtiches and valves, giving a very realistic impression of working in the real environment.
LER3D also models all the vital auxiliary systems, such as lubricating system, compressed air etc, and provides emergency procedure training including fire simulations. Multi-channel digitised sound mimics engine sound correlated with speed, the diesel generator starting and running, open indicator valve sound, alarm and telegraph buzzers.
