Q. I wish
to open and edit a route database, but all the buttons to do this are
greyed out.
A.
To prevent any unintended changes to your route database (for example,
when connected to autopilot) route databases are now locked.
To change any aspect of a route database, you need to verify 3 things:
- Make sure you have clicked
the Edit button on the Route panel this button is an ON/OFF switch
which locks and unlocks the database.
- The Lock
box located on the Monitor panel must be unchecked to disable the Automatic
Leg Advance or uncheck the Auto leg advance of the Monitoring
tab under Route\Options.
- Autopilot must be switched Off on
the Navigator menu.

Q. How do I name
a route waypoint?
A. Route waypoints
created without a name can now be named from the route side panel. Display
the waypoints tab on the Route side panel and click Edit (if locked).
Click the waypoint name field in waypoints and type in a name. Click Apply
to save the name.
Q. I have
opened a chartpoint database, but I cannot create new chartpoints within
this database?
A.
To prevent unintended changes to a chartpoint database the database is
locked. Click on the Edit button to enable new chartpoints
to be added to an existing chartpoint database.
Q. I have
typed in a chartpoint name and other details, but they were not saved?
A.
After naming each chartpoint or route, you need to click the Apply button.
Q. How can
I delete a route?
A. First
ensure that you have opened the route database and have pressed the edit
mode (at the route panel.) Select the route you wish to delete. Click
on the Del button at the bottom of the side panel.
Q. How can
I delete route, chartpoint or log databases?
A. You can
delete a route, chartpoint or log database from within Navmaster. For
example, if you wish to delete a chartpoint database, select File\Open,
click the chartpoint symbol. Select the database you wish to delete. Select
Tools\Delete.
Q. How do I remove
the yellow boxes from the chart, after using the Range and Bearing tool?
A To remove the
Range and Bearing information, either click F2 or click the refresh button,
which you can place on any toolbar for quick access.
