Navmaster "Clean" Operation

This procedure will "clean" Navmaster folders of any leftover temporary files.

Temporary files are not deleted if Windows or Navmaster is closed down incorrectly. This can cause problems when restarting Navmaster (sometimes with a "codebase error") and we recommend that you carry out this cleaning process.

  • Right mouse click on the Navmaster Icon on your desktop
  • Select Properties
  • In the target line, type clean, after "C:\Program Files\Navmaster\Navmaster.exe"
  • Ensure there is a space after the speech marks.
  • The target line should now read
    "C:\Program Files\Navmaster\Navmaster.exe" clean or
    "C:\Program Files\Navmaster\Navmaster.exe" dongletype:nsc clean
  • Click OK
  • Double click the Navmaster Icon. All Navmaster folders will be scanned for temporary files. When complete you will get a message "Any Temporary Files and Folders have been removed" (they will be in the Recycle bin).
  • Right mouse click on the Navmaster Icon on your desktop
  • Select Properties
  • In the target line, remove the word clean and click OK so that Navmaster loads normally.
