Navmaster Offshore - Information on releases
|
|
New in Navmaster 5.1
-
Autoscroll made more flexible - you can change chart scales freely within Autoscroll & your Look-Ahead value will be updated appropriately
-
One-click vessel reposition. When underway with vessel position being plotted via GPS, if you want to see more of the chart in any direction, just left-click on the chart to "move" vessel position - in fact, it is the chart which is moved behind the vessel. Makes it really simple to improve look-ahead.
-
Look Ahead value can be set by time (previously only by distance), so that charts change automatically to maintain look-ahead as you wish
-
Additional intermediate zoom levels for ARCS charts to give greater viewing flexibility
-
Zoom box operations made more accurate
-
Zoom in/out mapped to PgDn/PgUp for quick keyboard operation
-
Improved ARCS image quality for PCs running Windows XP or 2000
-
Removal of PIN number input. After your first installation, the PIN number will no longer need to be entered.
-
Removal of chartpoint and waypoint locks. You no longer need to uncheck the Lock box if you want to move a chartpoint or waypoint; just highlight it and move it.
-
Chart Temporary Notices are moved from right-mouse pop-up to the Chart Side Panel alongside all other information about the chart.
-
Default settings revised, to automate as much of the Navmaster set-up as possible.
NB. These values cannot be provided to existing users, as they would overwrite your existing preferences. For existing users of Navmaster's tidal stream plan calculations, one value in particular is worth checking:
Go to Route/Options/Plan tab, and check that the value entered in "Tidal Stream every" is set to 5 minutes or less. If it is set to one hour, Navmaster cannot calculate tidal stream for route legs of less than one hour.
