Admiralty ARCS is the world's leading electronic raster chart service. The ARCS chart catalogue provides worldwide coverage on 11 Area CD ROMs, containing up to 350 charts each.

You receive a permit allowing you to unlock the charts you have bought from the Area CD(s). If you need more charts later on, we can simply fax or e-mail you extra permits.

• Official charts
• Familiar image. ARCS charts are instantly recognisable, making the progression from paper to electronic charts easier.
• Official corrections. ARCS charts are corrected every week. The ARCS Navigator Service provides weekly corrections as part of an annual subscription. The ARCS Skipper Service offer quarterly or annual corrections at extra cost.
• Datum shifts. ARCS are supplied with official datum shifts so that positions from GPS (WGS 84) match the datum used by the electronic chart. Datum shifts are supplied for about half the world's charts. For the remainder of the charts, it is not possible for a reliable calculation to be made.
• ARCS may be used in type-approved ECDIS in areas where ENCs (official vector charts) are not yet available, with an appropriate paper chart back-up folio.
